What is the CHS?

The Cotati Historical Society is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, founded in 2007, with the mission to preserve Cotati history through the acquisition and preservation of artifacts, photos, archives, and other historical materials.

Our secondary aim is to provide a permanent resource for visitors and researchers interested in Cotati’s past—and thereby providing public information regarding our unique community.

Our third priority is community outreach—in other words, to support Cotati-based cultural activities and events, as well as to maintain reciprocal relations with other historical entities.

The BBQ event scheduled for May 3rd has been POSTPONED. Check back later for more information.

Museum Location and Hours

Our museum, located in the west end of Cotati City Hall (201 West Sierra Avenue), is open on Saturdays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and also on the second Tuesday of each month from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The museum will be closed thru the end of March, for the safety of our volunteers and guests. Please check back later for updates.
