What is the CHS?
The Cotati Historical Society is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, founded in 2007, with the mission to preserve Cotati history through the acquisition and preservation of artifacts, photos, archives, and other historical materials.
Our secondary aim is to provide a permanent resource for visitors and researchers interested in Cotati’s past—and thereby providing public information regarding our unique community.
Our third priority is community outreach—in other words, to support Cotati-based cultural activities and events, as well as to maintain reciprocal relations with other historical entities.
Museum Location and Hours
Our museum, located in the west end of Cotati City Hall (201 West Sierra), is open every Saturday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and also on the second Tuesday of each month from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Upcoming event: Fall History Forum
November 1, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. in the Cotati Room (216 East School Street): As owners of the Cotati Rancho, the Page family named its streets. How did our other streets get their names? A free event, open to the public.
